Oh, did your cell phone just ring? Go ahead, answer it. Or was it an incoming text? (Don’t forget to keep the text inbox and outbox cleaned out so you can get more!) Went to voicemail, huh? (at least it cleans itself out!) Twitter? Where’s your phone wall charger? Oh, be sure the ring tones are fun and the pictures of your contacts are clear.

Now where’d you put your IPod? Ear buds there too? And the cord? Where’s that cord? The transmitter, which vehicle is it in? The camera’s in your pocket, you say. Batteries charged? Camera cards empty? And the cord. Where’s that cord? And don’t forget to back up those photos on a regular basis.

Got that GPS in the right vehicle yet? And the cord. Where’s that cord? Remember the portable DVD player to keep the kids happy along the way. Now where are those DVDs for it? And the cord. Where’s that cord?

Are you staying up with your email? Which to read? What to leave? Get that inbox cleaned out? Don’t forget the send box, too. More than one email account, you say? Ditto. Updated the blog lately to keep the extended family informed? Figure out YouTube so you can send that sweet video of the youngins? And Facebook. Posted lately to let your friends know you’re still alive?

Oh, make sure you have your passwords written down in a safe, secure place….and that you can find that safe, secure place someday. Sheez, what day is it anyway? What was that date again that we go to grandma’s house? How many weeks away is that now? How do you go about finding out? Look up.

The paper wall calendar. The one that you got from your friendly local merchant who is there serving you year after year.

As that merchant, don’t forget that everyone has multiple calendars hanging for daily use…in both their workplace and at home. Be the one to keep YOUR name in front of YOUR locals all year long. Remind them that you are here on a day-in and day-out basis to help them journey through the maze of life, including all those electronics that they navigate. Make it simpler and give them a calendar.
